The other day my boys were sent to their room to "work it out" after a hitting incident. Here is the conversation I overheard:
K: I'm sorry I hit you, M. Do you forgive me?
M: Yes. Will you ever, never hit me again?
K: (after a long pause) No, but I won't hit you for about 3 days.
And off they went to play together...
